Rooted | A Life of Generosity – Living from God’s Abundance
What does it look like to live a truly generous life? In this message from our Rooted series, we explore how generosity flows from God’s own nature and becomes a natural, deep-rooted response to His goodness, grace, and daily provision. Drawing from Psalm 1, we’re reminded that a life planted in God bears fruit in every season.
We see how God models generosity through Jesus and continues to load us with His benefits day by day (Psalm 68:19). Generosity, then, is not about obligation, but gratitude — a reflection of God’s character expressed through our time, gifts, skills, and resources.
This message also addresses common obstacles that hold us back from generosity, including the self-made myth, delaying generosity until we “have enough,” and living a segmented faith. Through Scriptures like Luke 12:16–21, 2 Corinthians 8, and Romans 12:1, we’re invited to surrender every area of life to God and live with open hands and open hearts.
Ultimately, generosity is part of how we bring life to others and join God in what He is doing in the world. This message is an invitation to step into a life that reflects God’s abundance and love.

Rooted | Serving with Purpose – Everyone Gets to Play
What does it mean to live a fruitful, rooted life? In this message, we explore how serving with purpose sits at the very heart of following Jesus. Drawing from Psalm 1, we’re reminded that a life rooted in God produces fruit that lasts — visible in how we live, who we are becoming, and how we impact others.
Jesus Himself modelled this way of life: “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve” (Mark 10:45). We discover that serving is not about earning God’s love, but responding to His grace. Every believer has a part to play — “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others” (1 Peter 4:10).
This message unpacks the different kinds of fruit God grows in us as we serve:
• Life Fruit – how we live and love others
• Character Fruit – who we are becoming (Galatians 5:22–23)
• Relationship Fruit – how we build and encourage others
• Spiritual Fruit – our growing connection with God
Ultimately, serving roots us more deeply in God because it connects us to our God-given purpose — the good works He has already prepared for us to walk in (Ephesians 2:8–10).
📖 Key Scriptures: Psalm 1:1–4; Mark 10:45; 1 Peter 4:10; Ephesians 2:8–10; Galatians 5:22–23
Whether you’re new to faith or have followed Jesus for years, this message invites you to discover where you can serve — because in God’s Kingdom, everyone gets to play.

Rooted | Find Your People – Growing Through Community
In this message, Adam and Lucy explore why finding your people is such a vital part of living a rooted and healthy Christian life. Faith was never meant to be lived alone — God shapes us, strengthens us, and helps us grow through meaningful relationships and shared community.
Drawing on biblical teaching and lived experience, this talk highlights how belonging, encouragement, honesty, and mutual support help us stay grounded when life feels uncertain. When we choose to be known and to know others, we discover a place where faith deepens and roots grow strong.
This message invites you to take a step toward community — whether that’s joining a Life Group, building intentional friendships, or simply opening your life a little wider. Finding your people is not just about connection; it’s about becoming who God has called you to be.

Rooted | Gather – Growing Stronger Together
In this second message of our Rooted series, we explore why gathering together is essential to living a rooted, resilient, and fruitful Christian life. Drawing from Psalm 1, Acts 2, Hebrews 10, and Ephesians 4, we’re reminded that we were never meant to grow alone — we grow best when we are planted together.
Scripture paints a picture of believers who meet regularly, encourage one another, and are built up into maturity as each part of the body does its work. When we commit to gathering — in worship, in community, and in shared discipleship — God strengthens us, stabilises us, and helps us bear fruit that lasts.
This message challenges us to prioritise meeting together, to spur one another on in love and good deeds, and to allow God to shape us into a mature, united body rooted in Christ.
📖 Key Scriptures: • Psalm 1:2–3 • Acts 2:46 • Hebrews 10:23–25 • Ephesians 4:11–16
Whether you’re new to church or have followed Jesus for many years, this message invites you to put down deeper roots by choosing to gather and grow together.

What does it mean to live a life that is truly rooted, resilient, and fruitful? In this message, we explore how everything begins — and is sustained — by building our lives on Jesus. Using Psalm 1 and Matthew 7, we see a powerful picture of stability: a tree planted by streams of water and a house built on the rock.
We’re reminded that a rooted life is one that delights in God’s Word, meditates on it daily, and puts it into practice. When storms come — and they will — a life founded on Jesus does not collapse, but stands firm and continues to bear fruit. This message also challenges us to make intentional choices that help us grow: prioritising Scripture and prayer, committing to community, serving others, and training our lives around the way of Jesus (1 Corinthians 9:24–25).
Whether you are new to faith or have followed Jesus for many years, this message is an invitation to go deeper — to build your life on the rock and become truly rooted.

At Christmas, we remember a powerful and hope-filled truth: “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” (John 1:5). In this short message from our Carol Service, we reflect on the meaning of Jesus’ birth and why He is described as the Light of the world.
We explore the story of the baby who came to save — Jesus, born not just to inspire us, but to rescue us from sin and bring light and life into every dark place (Matthew 1:20–21; John 3:16).
This message reminds us that no matter what we are facing — uncertainty, fear, loss, or weariness — the light of Christ still shines. And this Christmas, that light is for you.
Whether Christmas is a joyful season or a difficult one, this message points us to the hope, peace, and new life found in Jesus.

Fear NOT! Peace That Transcends Understanding | Philippians 4
So many people today feel overwhelmed or unable to cope — a 2018 UK study found that 74% of adults experienced stress to that level in the previous year. Yet in Philippians 4, Paul shows us a way to live with a peace that “transcends all understanding” and guards our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
In this message, we look at four biblical practices that help us experience God’s peace in everyday life:
• Rejoice — choosing gratitude that lifts our perspective and strengthens wellbeing.
• Pray — bringing every circumstance to God with honesty and thankfulness.
• Think Good Thoughts — fixing our minds on what is true, noble, lovely, and praiseworthy.
• Learn Contentment — discovering Paul’s secret: “I can do all this through Him who gives me strength.” (Phil. 4:13)
Alongside Scripture, we also consider research showing how gratitude, prayer, and renewing the mind contribute to lower anxiety and improved mental health — echoing the wisdom of Philippians 4.
If you’re longing for deeper peace, clarity, and steadiness in your daily life, this teaching will help you take practical, faith-filled steps toward it.

In this message, we look honestly at the battles that take place within our minds — fear, doubt, lies, anxiety, and the inner narratives that work against the knowledge of God. Using 2 Corinthians 10:4–5, we explore how Scripture invites us to take every thought captive and bring it under the freeing, life-giving obedience of Christ.
We walk through moments from John 13, where both Judas and Peter faced inner turmoil, reminding us that even Jesus’ closest friends were not immune to mental and emotional struggle. Yet Jesus meets them — and us — with truth, love, and grace.
This message also draws on Brennan Manning’s powerful words from The Ragamuffin Gospel, reminding us that nothing — not weakness, fear, mistakes, rejection, loneliness, or uncertainty — can separate us from the love of Christ.
We discover that the greatest weapon in spiritual warfare is not our own strength, but the obedience of Christ, whose grace and righteousness on the cross give us victory over every thought that rises against God’s truth.
If you are wrestling with anxious thoughts, fear, or a battle within your mind, this message will point you back to the One who strengthens, steadies, and secures you with His love.

In this message, David reminds us of one of the most life-changing truths in Scripture: God is with us. Whatever we face — sorrow, confusion, loss, or the unknown — God’s presence meets us right where we are with comfort, stillness, hope, and peace.
We explore how God draws near in our darkest moments and covers us with His compassion, bringing reassurance even when circumstances don’t make sense. And amazingly, He leads us into a place where rejoicing can coexist with grief, not because the pain disappears, but because His presence holds us through it.
If you are walking through a difficult season, feeling lost, overwhelmed, or unsure of the future, this message is a reminder that you are never alone — God is with you, and He is faithful.

In this powerful message, Nicola unpacks God’s heart for those who feel weary, overwhelmed, or at the end of themselves. Through Isaiah 40:25–31, we discover that God not only sees our weakness — He renews our strength with His own limitless power.
We are reminded that Christ Himself is our source of strength (Philippians 4:13), and that God’s power is often revealed most beautifully in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9–10).
Whether you are running, walking, or barely holding on, this message invites you to place your hope in the Lord — the One who helps us soar on wings like eagles, run without growing weary, and walk without fainting.
Be encouraged: God renews, restores, and strengthens all who place their hope in Him.
